On March 17, an awareness event on "Anti-Corruption Measures" was held at the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnologies of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Opening the event with an introductory speech, the Executive Director of the institute, PhD in Biology, Associate Professor Ələmdar Məmmədov, emphasized that combating corruption is one of the country’s priority directions. He provided the participants with detailed information about the "National Action Plan for Strengthening the Fight Against Corruption for 2022–2026," approved by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, on April 4, 2022. The speaker noted that corruption is one of the challenges faced by countries worldwide. Preventing corruption and ensuring a continuous fight against it is of particular importance. Measures implemented in this field should be aimed at eliminating conditions that foster corruption. A. Mammadov emphasized the significance of anti-corruption measures implemented at the state level. Following his speech, Head of the Laboratory of Cell Membrane Systems, Doctor of Biological Sciences, Professor Saftar Suleymanov, Senior Researcher, Doctor of Biological Sciences, Associate Professor Shahniyar Bayramov, and Leading Researcher, PhD in Biology, Associate Professor Sadagat Asadova shared their views on improving legislative and economic enforcement mechanisms in the fight against corruption, increasing the accountability of officials, and upholding the rule of law and social justice.

At the end of the event, an awareness video on the role of the public in combating corruption was presented.
