On March 17, a meeting was held between the leadership of the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnologies (IMBB) of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University (ASPU). The meeting, which took place at the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnology, was attended by the institute’s General Director, academician Irada Huseynova, and the Rector of ASPU, Professor Jafar Jafarov. They provided information about the material and technical resources, as well as the human potential of the institutions they lead, and discussed opportunities for mutual cooperation. The event was also attended by the Executive Director of IMBB, PhD in Biology, Associate Professor Alemdar Mammadov, the Scientific Secretary, PhD in Biology, Associate Professor Durna Aliyeva, the Dean of the Faculty of Chemistry and Biology at ASPU, PhD in Chemistry, Associate Professor Reyhan Agayeva, the Vice Dean, PhD in Biology, Associate Professor Besti Asadova, and the Head of the Department of Biology and Its Teaching Methodology, Doctor of Biological Sciences, Associate Professor Anakhanim Yusifova. During the meeting, a memorandum of understanding was signed, covering issues such as linking the educational process with scientific research, strengthening the integration of science and education, developing practical knowledge, skills, and competencies among students and master’s students, involving leading specialists in the relevant fields in the teaching process, conducting joint scientific research, and other areas of cooperation.
