On April 25, an event titled “Hands that Bring Light to Eyes”, dedicated to the 102nd anniversary of academician, prominent scientist, and ophthalmologist Zarifa Aliyeva, was held at the Heydar Aliyev Center in Yasamal district. The event was attended by Nazila Rahimova, Deputy Head of Department of the Yasamal District Executive Authority; Nargiz Bayramova, PhD in Biology and senior researcher of the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnologies of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan; Tarana Salahova, History Teacher at Secondary School No. 286; as well as teachers and students from Baku Basic Medical College No. 1, Baku Medical College No. 2, and Secondary School No. 53.
Speaking at the event, the Center’s researcher Azer Zeynalzada spoke about Zarifa Aliyeva’s rich and meaningful life journey, her many years of fruitful activity, and her contributions to Azerbaijani medical science through her fundamental research.
