The Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnologies of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan held an event entitled "Personality who made history" dedicated to the 102nd anniversary of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev's birth, as well as the presentation of the book "Conquerors in the history of our Victory" written by Zarifa Guliyeva, a member of the Council of Veterans of the New Azerbaijan Party, Chairperson of the Public Association "Modern Development and Family".

In addition to the management and staff of the institute, the event was attended by numerous guests, including officials of the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Women's Council of ANAS, the Sabail district organization of the New Azerbaijan Party and the Council of Veterans, as well as representatives of the press and the public.

As part of the event, the participants first got acquainted with the "Collection of Rare Trees" created on the territory of the institute on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Heydar Aliyev, and then viewed the exhibition reflecting the life, political and state activities of the Great Leader.

The official part began with the performance of the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Opening the event with an introductory speech, Vice-President of ANAS, Director General of the Institute, Academician Irada Huseynova spoke about the exceptional merits of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev to the statehood of Azerbaijan, the welfare and security of our people, science and education, ensuring national independence and sovereignty. The academician noted that as a result of Heydar Aliyev's political foresight, the foundation of our independent state was laid, a development strategy based on science and education was formed, and important steps were taken to strengthen the army. In her speech, the scientist noted that under the leadership of the Great Leader, the development of science and education became one of the priority areas of the state policy of Azerbaijan, and in the 1970-1980s, important programs were implemented to train highly qualified personnel in various fields of science, including biology. At the same time, the Great Leader's concern for the youth was especially emphasized. The speaker said: "Heydar Aliyev was not just a leader - he was a symbol of stability, confidence and revival. Today, President Ilham Aliyev successfully continues the political course of the Great Leader on the solid foundations he laid, and our state has achieved significant success in the political, economic, military and scientific spheres. "Modern Azerbaijan has embarked on a broad path of development, has fully restored its territorial integrity and sovereignty, has achieved great success in the international arena and in all spheres of public life."

Then, Chairman of the Milli Majlis Committee on Natural Resources, Energy and Ecology Sadig Gurbanov, Chairman of the Sabail District Organization of the New Azerbaijan Party Mukhtar Nagiyev, Editor-in-Chief of the Yeni Azerbaijan newspaper Algysh Musayev, Member of the Council of Veterans of the New Azerbaijan Party, Chairperson of the Modern Development and Family Public Association Zarifa Guliyeva, Corresponding Member of ANAS, Head of the Laboratory of Enzymology of Photosynthetic Carbon Assimilation of the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnologies Novruz Guliyev and Chairperson of the Council of Young Scientists and Specialists of the Institute Nargiz Bayramova spoke about the work done by the great statesman, National Leader Heydar Aliyev on the revival of Azerbaijan, ensuring the international authority of our country, socio-economic progress, national state building, the creation and armament of the Armed Forces, health protection, education and youth development. The speakers emphasized that the political course of Heydar Aliyev was able to preserve the independence of Azerbaijan and save it from collapse. This course has brought us to Shusha and will undoubtedly bring us to Western Azerbaijan.

It was also noted that one of the greatest merits of the Great Leader to the people of Azerbaijan can be considered the fact that he gave our state such a personality as the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Victorious Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev, who was able to bring the work started by the first President of Azerbaijan to its logical conclusion. It is thanks to the political genius of the Great Leader and the highly precise steps of his worthy successor, the Great Strategist Ilham Aliyev, that Azerbaijan has become a leading state in the region. Today, the leading countries of the world and their leaders reckon with Azerbaijan and its President, with the interests of our country.

The participants of the event once again emphasized the importance of preserving the rich heritage of the Great Leader and passing it on to new generations, stating that his ideas are the path to Azerbaijanism, independence and progress.

The event featured a presentation of the book by Zarifa Guliyeva, a member of the NAP Veterans Council and Chairperson of the Modern Development and Family Public Association, entitled “Conquerors in the History of Our Victory.” Speaking at the presentation ceremony, Academician Irada Huseynova described the book as a valuable journalistic legacy dedicated to the modern history, national memory and spirit of victory of Azerbaijan. The academician noted that the book provides facts showing how the line of national statehood, the ideological basis of which was laid by the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev, was completed with a triumphant victory won under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev. She also noted that Zarifa Guliyeva’s book will be an example for future generations, a bearer of the national spirit and a means of education. “With this book, Zarifa Guliyeva successfully fulfills her mission of conveying national solidarity, love for the Motherland and the spirit of victory to new generations,” the academician emphasized.

Then the floor was given to the Chairperson of the Women's Council of ANAS, Doctor of Philosophy, Professor Rena Mirzazade, who shared her thoughts about the book. In her speech, the speaker drew attention to the fact that Zarifa Guliyeva, a doctor by profession, is also a talented publicist, and called the presentation of the author's 7th book, timed to coincide with the event dedicated to the 102nd anniversary of the birth of the Great Leader, an important event. Rena Mirzazade especially emphasized the high moral value and educational significance of the book and noted that Zarifa Guliyeva has always considered it her mission to express her opinion on the socio-political events of the country and the great successes achieved. In her articles collected in the book, Zarifa Guliyeva also drew attention to the role of First Vice President Mehriban Aliyeva in the successes achieved by our state.
