On May 6–7, 2025, the Director General of the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnologies of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Academician Irada Huseynova, along with the institute's staff, was on a scientific trip to the Gobustan Regional Experimental Station of the Research Institute of Crop Husbandry under the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Azerbaijan. During the visit, monitoring was carried out on the experimental plots of various control nurseries, and the phenotypic condition of the plants was assessed. Measurements were taken on more than 200 genotypes in total, including 67 local, 41 Russian, 9 Turkish, and 18 European genotypes, which had been tested as part of competitive variety trials and analyzed for genomic studies. To improve the reliability of the results, repeated measurements were taken on ten plants of each genotype. The selected samples were delivered to the laboratory for molecular biological and biochemical analyses.
