On May 22, employees of the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnologies of the Ministry of Science and Education– Doctor of Biological Sciences Yashar Feyziyev, PhD in Biology Nahida Aliyeva, and the institute’s PhD student Ruslan Suleymanov – participated in a scientific expedition along the shores of the Absheron Peninsula of the Caspian Sea within the framework of the project “Biotechnological Production of Hydrogen from Caspian Sea Algae.” During the expedition, coastal temperature, wind speed, and solar radiation were measured, and algae samples were collected and brought to the laboratory. The collected samples are intended for biochemical, physiological, and biophysical studies under laboratory conditions. The research aims to explore the potential of obtaining energy from the algal bioresources of the Caspian Sea.
