Although there is currently no specific legal or regulatory decision regarding the preparation and publication of a separate "Red Book" for the regions of Karabakh and Eastern Zangezur, the existing scientific and institutional activities in this direction clearly demonstrate the scientific and strategic necessity of creating such a document in the future.

This was stated in an interview with AZERTAC by the Vice-President of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, Director General of the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnologies of the Ministry of Science and Education, Academician Irada Huseynova.
