On May 30, another scientific expedition was carried out within the framework of the project “Biotechnological Production of Hydrogen from Caspian Sea Algae”. The expedition, organized to explore the potential of obtaining energy from algal bioresources of the Caspian Sea, involved researchers from the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnologies of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan – PhD in Biology Nahida Aliyeva, research fellow Konul Jumshudlu, and the institute's PhD student Ruslan Suleymanov. The samples collected from the shores of the Absheron Peninsula of the Caspian Sea were brought to the laboratory for biochemical, physiological, and biophysical studies. During the expedition, coastal temperature, wind speed, and solar radiation were also measured.
