On June 23, Professor Muhammad Zafar from the Department of Plant Sciences at Quaid-i-Azam University in Pakistan visited the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnologies of the Ministry of Science and Education. Professor Muhammad Zafar, a renowned scientist in the fields of medicinal plants, plant diversity, plant systematics, and biodiversity, visited the laboratories of the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnologies, where he became acquainted with the institute’s infrastructure and the ongoing research work being conducted. The guest was received by the Director General of the institute, academician Irada Huseynova, who emphasized the importance of scientific cooperation between the brotherly countries of Azerbaijan and Pakistan. During the meeting, the prospects for future scientific cooperation were discussed.
