On July 7, ASAN Service volunteers visited the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnologies of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan. First, the young visitors were introduced to the experiments conducted in the institute’s laboratories and the operating principles of modern equipment. Later, the Executive Director of the Institute, PhD in Biology, Associate Professor Elamdar Mammadov, provided the visitors with detailed information about modern methods of molecular biology, the role of genome research in the development of pharmaceutical drugs, and the application of artificial intelligence in biotechnological research. The volunteers listened to the scientist’s speech with great interest.
