On July 16–18, 2025, Academician Irada Huseynova, Director General of the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnologies of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and the institute’s staff took part in a scientific mission at the Gobustan Regional Experimental Station of the Research Institute of Crop Husbandry under the Ministry of Agriculture. The purpose of the visit was to participate in the wheat harvesting process involving 188 wheat genotypes subjected to genomic research, F5 lines stabilized through local hybridization and grown in various control nurseries, as well as high-yielding elite wheat varieties and newly developed cultivars obtained from international organizations, including the German breeding company “KWS-Seeds Einbeck”. Agronomic traits of the plant specimens were discussed prior to harvest, and the preliminary yield of the harvested wheat genotypes was assessed. The obtained results will be analyzed using comparative-statistical methods through bioinformatics software and correlated with the outcomes of molecular biological and biochemical studies carried out in the laboratory.
