The Executive Director of the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnologies of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, PhD, Associate Professor Alamdar Mammadov, took part in a training organized for the Chairpersons of Facility Commissions on Emergency Situations of the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) and the Heads of Civil Defense Headquarters. During the training, the legislation and legal framework in the field of protection, as well as laws and decrees adopted by the Republic of Azerbaijan and their significance, were reviewed. Information was also provided on the classification, storage, and distribution of personal protective equipment to the population. Israeli-made IKAN-20-100 gas masks, Ap-96 breathing apparatus, protective clothing, footwear, TRELLSHEM VPS goggles, etc. were demonstrated, and the principles of their operation were explained. The training also covered the rules for planning, organizing, and conducting emergency response measures, the evacuation of material and cultural assets and the population, as well as shelters and protective facilities, their structure, and types.

After the five-day training, participants were tested on their knowledge and skills, awarded certificates, and took a commemorative photo.
