Ilhama Jafarli, a PhD student in Molecular Biology at the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnologies (IMBB) of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, participated in the Climate Action Week held on August 28, 2025, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. At this event, Ilhama Jafarli delivered a presentation on “The Impact of Climate Change on Androgen Receptors: Studies on Human Health”. She emphasized the importance of integrating human perspectives into climate discussions. Jafarli noted that the event was organized within the framework of cooperation with global policymakers and discussed various issues related to the impact of climate change on genes and reproduction. The event was also attended by TABIB, Turkey’s Yozgat Bozok University, University College London (UCL) from the United Kingdom, and other universities, which presented their research on climate change and human health. At the same time, the organizer of the event, the Azerbaijan-Britain Professionals Association, took the lead in expanding discussions in this field and strengthening international cooperation.
