On October 17, a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation was signed between the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnologies of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Institute of Microbiology of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan. According to the Memorandum, the parties agreed to cooperate in the exchange of students, teachers, and researchers within master's and PhD programs; the implementation of joint scientific research and scientific-technical projects; the organization of conferences, seminars, and symposia, as well as the preparation and publication of joint scientific papers. The Memorandum of Understanding was signed by Academician Irada Huseynova, General Director of the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnologies, and Professor Shahlo Miralimova, Director of the Institute of Microbiology of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan.
