On October 15, the head of the Laboratory of Population Genomics at the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnologies of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Associate Professor, PhD in Biology Nurmammad Mustafayev, celebrated his 60th anniversary.

Dr. Mustafayev conducts research in the fields of plant plastid genome studies, population genetics, and the molecular-genetic basis of hereditary diseases. His scientific activity covers current areas of modern biology and is aimed at the practical application of fundamental knowledge. The results of his studies have been published in prestigious international scientific journals and highly evaluated in scientific databases.

Nurmammad Mustafayev is distinguished not only for his scientific achievements but also for his pedagogical and organizational work. For many years, he has made significant contributions to shaping the scientific worldview of young researchers, fostering their interest in science, and helping them grow into internationally recognized specialists.
