On November 14, the next meeting of the Scientific Council of the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnologies (IMBB) of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan was held. At the beginning, the memory of Associate Professor Shahnigar Bayramov, Doctor of Biological Sciences and a member of the Scientific Council, who passed away prematurely, was honored with a minute of silence. The Institute’s Director General, Academician Irada Huseynova, informed the participants about the items on the agenda. During the meeting, the reports of the Laboratories of Photobioenergetics, Photochemistry of Chloroplasts, Enzymology of Carbon Photosynthetic Assimilation, Membrane Systems of the Cell, Bionanotechnology, as well as the Veterans’ Council, were presented. Corresponding members of ANAS Ibrahim Azizov and Novruz Guliyev, Doctors of Biological Sciences Yashar Feyziyev and Saftar Suleymanov, and researcher of the International Laboratory of Bionanotechnology Mehriban Shabanova provided detailed information to the Council members on the scientific research conducted, major results obtained, personnel training, articles published in local and international journals, and the participation of laboratory staff in local and international events. Questions regarding the presentations were answered, and discussions were held. In conclusion, all reports were unanimously approved.
