On November 18, the next meeting of the Scientific Council of the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnologies (IMBB) of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan was held. The Institute’s Director General, Academician Irada Huseynova, informed the participants about the agenda items. At the meeting, the annual reports of the Laboratories of Genome Structure and Expression, Population Genomics, Bioadaptation, Plant Biotechnology, and Bioinformatics, as well as the International Laboratories of Molecular Bioengineering, Molecular Biotechnology, Proteomics, and Computational Structural Biology, were presented. Corresponding Member of ANAS Tarlan Mammadov, Doctors of Biological Sciences Tofig Allahverdiyev and Zarifa Suleymanova, PhDs in Biology, Associate Professors Nurmammad Mustafayev, Samira Rustamova, and Mahira Mammadova, PhDs in Biology, Aytan Agayeva and Aynura Pashayeva, Senior Researcher Amina Abdulazimova, and Researcher Kave Babai presented the results of the scientific research carried out in the laboratories in 2025 to the members of the Council. The speakers also provided detailed information on personnel training, participation in local and international conferences, and published articles. Additionally, annual reports were delivered by the Chair of IMBB’s Trade Union Organization, PhD in Biology, Associate Professor Saadat Khudaverdiyeva, as well as by the Head of the International and Public Relations Department, Minakhanym Aliyeva. Discussions were held around the presentations, and all reports were unanimously approved.
