On November 19, Professor Yusuf Özkul from Erciyes University (Türkiye) visited the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnologies (I MBB) of the MSE AR. The scientist first met with the Institute’s Director General, Academician Irada Huseynova. Irada Huseynova provided the guest with information about the history of the Institute, ongoing research activities, obtained scientific results, and international cooperation initiatives. Yusuf Özkul became acquainted with the laboratories’ material and technical facilities, as well as the scientific research conducted at the Institute. A scientific seminar was then held with the participation of Professor Yusuf Özkul. The seminar was attended not only by IMBB staff but also by researchers from the Institute of Microbiology of the MSE AR and teachers and students of Baku State University. The Turkish scientist, known for his research in medical genetics, molecular biology, and oncogenetics, delivered an engaging presentation about the city of Kayseri and shared information about the research carried out at Erciyes University. The presentation was met with great interest, and Professor Yusuf Özkul answered the questions addressed to him.
