Ten years have passed since the death of the outstanding scientist and public figure, Academician Jalal Aliyev. On this occasion, his students, as well as employees of the Institute of Molecular Biology of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Research Institute of Crop Husbandry of the Ministry of Agriculture, visited the grave of the distinguished scientist at the Alley of Honor.

The cherished memory of Academician Jalal Aliyev was commemorated with deep respect, and flowers were laid at his grave. At the memorial ceremony, Acting Director of the Institute of Molecular Biology, Academician Irada Huseynova, Director of the Research Institute of Crop Husbandry, PhD in Agrarian Sciences Faig Khudayev, and the scientist’s first student, Corresponding Member of ANAS Ibrahim Azizov, delivered speeches. The speakers particularly emphasized Academician Jalal Aliyev’s exceptional contributions to the development of biological and agricultural sciences, his fundamental scientific research, and his dedicated work in training highly qualified specialists. It was noted that the academician’s rich scientific legacy remains relevant today and serves as an important scientific and methodological foundation for modern research.

Having laid the foundation for several new scientific fields in Azerbaijan and played a key role in educating numerous highly qualified researchers, the scientific school established by Academician Jalal Aliyev continues to function successfully and develop further. His ideas and scientific approaches are widely applied in contemporary fundamental and applied studies.

The distinguished scientist’s rich scientific heritage and cherished memory will live on forever, leaving an indelible mark on the history of Azerbaijani science and will always be remembered.
