In accordance with the curriculum approved by the Ministry of Science and Education, fourth-year students of the Faculty of Natural Sciences of Sumgayit State University are undertaking an industrial internship at the Institute of Molecular Biology from February 16 to May 24, 2026. On the first day of the internship, Acting Director of the Institute, Academician Irada Huseynova, met with the students. During the meeting, the students were provided with detailed information about the Institute’s main scientific directions, ongoing fundamental and applied research, modern laboratory infrastructure, and international cooperation activities. The objectives and tasks of the internship were explained to the students, and attention was drawn to the organization of laboratory work, safety regulations, and responsibilities within the research process. Academician Irada Huseynova noted that during the internship, the students will actively participate in research processes conducted in the fields of molecular biology, genetics, and biotechnology, and will have the opportunity to become familiar with modern methods and technologies.
