An article co-authored by Mehriban Shabanova, Academician Irada Huseynova, and Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences Suleyman Alahverdiyev, researchers of the Institute of Molecular Biology under the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, has been published in the internationally recognized scientific journal Photosynthetica, which is prestigious in the field of photosynthesis research. The article, entitled “Elucidating copper ion interactions with carbonic anhydrase: insights from fluorescence quenching and thermodynamic analysis”, presents findings obtained from the study of the mechanisms of interaction between metal ions and proteins. This research is of significant scientific importance for a deeper understanding of the structure–function relationships of enzymes.
