This article, written by academician İradə Hüseynova, is dedicated to the life and work of the prominent oncologist-scientist Jamil Aliyev. It presents in detail his achievements in scientific, clinical, and organizational fields, as well as his contributions to the development of oncology in Azerbaijan.
