Turanah Isgandarova, a researcher at the Bioadaptation Laboratory of the Institute of Molecular Biology of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, took part in an international scientific conference held on 21–23 April 2026 at the Faculty of Agronomy of the University of Kragujevac in Čačak, Serbia. The event was organized within the framework of the EU-NESA grant project of the European Cooperation in Science & Technology (COST) Association.

At the conference, she delivered a presentation entitled “Evidence synthesis approaches to plant stress and aging research in agri-food systems.” The presentation addressed plant stress factors, aging processes, crop productivity maintenance, and modern evidence synthesis and meta-analysis approaches for systematic evaluation of scientific findings.

The event was coordinated by Radmila Ilić (University of Kragujevac), Marko Mančić (University of Niš), and Nikola Randall (Harper Adams University).

The outcomes of the conference were significant in terms of evidence synthesis for climate-resilient, policy-oriented agri-food systems and supporting evidence-based decision-making.

At the end of the visit, participants took part in a field excursion to the Podrum Želja facility, where they became acquainted with regional agricultural production and processing practices.
