Head of the Laboratory of Soil and Water Microbiology at the Institute of Molecular Biology, corresponding member of ANAS, Professor Panah Muradov, conducted a scientific seminar at the Faculty of Chemistry and Biology of the Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University (ASPU) on the topic “Water resources of Azerbaijan: current status, biosafety issues, and their solutions.” During the seminar, he provided detailed information on ongoing scientific research, existing challenges, measures taken for the protection of water resources, and biosafety issues. The event was attended by the Dean of the Faculty, Associate Professor Reyhan Aghayeva; Deputy Dean, Associate Professor Basti Asadova; Head of Department, Associate Professor Anakhanym Yusifova; as well as faculty members and students. Dean of the Faculty, Associate Professor Reyhan Aghayeva, emphasized the relevance of the seminar and highlighted the significance of the topic from both scientific and practical perspectives. Deputy Dean of the Faculty, Associate Professor Basti Asadova spoke about the objectives and tasks of the seminar, noting that such scientific events play an important role in enhancing the knowledge and experience of both students and academic staff. At the end of the event, participants addressed numerous questions related to the topic and extensive and engaging discussions were held on issues of water resource management, environmental safety, and sustainable development.
