Director of the Institute of Molecular Biology of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Academician Irada Huseynova, analyzed the current problems of modern urban ecology and the main directions of Azerbaijan’s environmental policy in her article entitled “Sustainable Development of Urban Ecosystems and the Paradigm of ‘Green Transformation’ in the Light of the Great Leader’s Ideas,” published in the newspaper “Azərbaycan”. The article emphasizes that the policy of greening and ecological development founded by National Leader Heydar Aliyev continues to occupy an important place in the country’s urban development strategy today.
