Researchers of the Institute of Molecular Biology participated in the Multidisciplinary Conference on Mycology + Photo

The Multidisciplinary Conference on Mycology, organized by the National Academy of Mycology, an All-Russian public organization, was held in Moscow on May 13–14. The conference aimed to discuss new scientific findings and methods in the field of mycology, strengthen cooperation among disciplines such as biology, medicine, agriculture, ecology, biotechnology and pharmacology, and promote the exchange of experience in the study of phytopathogenic, medical and industrially important fungi. Researchers of the Institute of Molecular Biology of the Ministry of Science and Education of Azerbaijan participated in the online session of the conference. Head of the Laboratory of Mycology and Phytopathogenic Microorganisms, PhD in Biology, Associate Professor Irada Babayeva delivered a presentation entitled “The Effect of Organic and Mineral Soil Additives on the Predatory Activity of Fungi of the Genus Arthrobotrys Isolated from Absheron Soils (in vitro).” Leading researcher of the Laboratory of Microbiological Biotechnology, PhD in Biology Vafa Hasanova presented a report entitled “Phytopathogenic Fungi Involved in the Formation of the Mycobiota of Fodder Plants in Azerbaijan and Their Proportion in the General Mycobiota.” The presentations delivered by the institute’s researchers attracted considerable interest from the conference participants.
