Academician Irada Huseynova, Vice-President of ANAS and Acting Director of the Institute of Molecular Biology, gave an interview to AZERTAC on the occasion of the Armed Forces Day of the Republic of Azerbaijan. She stated that the Azerbaijani Army has become one of the strongest and most modern armed forces in the South Caucasus as a result of the strategic military development policy initiated by National Leader Heydar Aliyev and successfully continued by President Ilham Aliyev. Academician Huseynova emphasized that the Army's strength was clearly demonstrated during the 44-day Patriotic War, which resulted in the restoration of Azerbaijan's territorial integrity and sovereignty. She noted that the Azerbaijani Army is a symbol of the country's strength, national unity, and solidarity, while its servicemen exemplify patriotism, loyalty, and self-sacrifice. Concluding the interview, she congratulated all personnel of the Armed Forces on the occasion of Armed Forces Day and wished them continued success in safeguarding Azerbaijan's independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity.
