On June 30, the 98th anniversary of the birth of the prominent scientist, public and political figure, Academician Jalal Aliyev, was commemorated. On this occasion, the staff of the Institute of Molecular Biology of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, led by Acting Director of the Institute and Vice-President of ANAS, Academician Irada Huseynova, together with representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Research Institute of Crop Husbandry, visited the scientist's grave at the Alley of Honor. They laid a wreath and bouquets of flowers at his grave and honored his memory by offering prayers.

Academician Irada Huseynova and Corresponding Member of ANAS Ibrahim Azizov spoke about Jalal Aliyev's outstanding contributions to the development of biological science in Azerbaijan. They emphasized that his rich scientific legacy, the scientific school he founded, and the specialists he trained continue to make a significant contribution to the advancement of Azerbaijani science and serve as an inspiring example for future generations. They noted that the name of Academician Jalal Aliyev will always be remembered with the greatest respect in the history of Azerbaijani science.
