On June 30, a scientific seminar of Dissertation Council ED 1.25 was held at the Institute of Molecular Biology of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan to discuss the doctoral dissertation submitted by Aygun Agaverdi Sadigova, a researcher at the Laboratory of Biotechnology and Bioengineering, for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Biology in the specialty 2422.01 – Biotechnology (including Bionanotechnologies). The dissertation is entitled "Development of a Biotechnological Propagation Method for the Indigenous Shirvanshahi Grape Cultivar." The scientific supervisors of the research are PhD in Biology Tofig Garagozov and PhD in Biology, Associate Professor Mahira Mammadova. During the seminar, Aygun Sadiqova presented the main findings and key provisions of her dissertation, followed by an extensive scientific discussion. Members of the Dissertation Council provided their comments and recommendations, emphasizing the novelty, relevance, and scientific as well as practical significance of the research. Based on the results of the voting, the Dissertation Council resolved to recommend the dissertation for the official defense.
