The first issue of Volume 10 (Vol. 10, No. 1, 2026) of the international peer-reviewed scientific journal "Transactions of the Institute of Molecular Biology & Biotechnologies" (TIMBB), published by the Institute of Molecular Biology of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, has been released in both print and electronic formats in accordance with high publishing standards. The new issue is freely available to the global scientific community under the open-access principle through the journal's official website (www.timbb.az) and the journal's dedicated page on the Institute's official website.
The first issue of 2026 includes ten original research articles presenting the results of contemporary scientific studies in molecular biology, genetics, biotechnology, microbiology, bioinformatics, biochemistry, and other related fields. The published papers address current scientific challenges and present the findings of both fundamental and applied research. In addition to contributions from Azerbaijani researchers, the issue features articles authored and co-authored by scientists representing research institutions and universities from various countries. This demonstrates the journal's steadily expanding role as an international platform for scientific collaboration and its growing attractiveness to researchers worldwide.
All manuscripts underwent a rigorous double-blind peer-review process conducted by independent reviewers in accordance with international publishing standards. Their scientific quality and compliance with ethical principles were carefully evaluated. Ensuring the high scientific quality of published materials remains one of the Editorial Board's highest priorities.
The Editorial Board of the journal (Editor-in-Chief: Academician Irada Huseynova) will continue its efforts in future issues to further enhance the quality of published articles, increase the participation of international authors and reviewers, improve the journal's citation indicators, and strengthen its position within the global scientific community.
