The final international conference of COST Action CA21157 – CopyTree, entitled “From Lab to Forest and Orchard”, was held in Tirana, Albania, on September 14–16, 2026.

Hosted by the Academy of Sciences of Albania, the conference focused on promoting scientific research and the exchange of expertise in the fields of clonal propagation of woody plants, micropropagation, biotechnology of forest and horticultural plants, and sustainable plant production. Scientists and specialists from various countries participated in the event.

Aygun Sadigova, Researcher at the Laboratory of Biotechnology and Bioengineering of the Institute of Molecular Biology of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, delivered a presentation entitled “Enhancing rooting efficiency and ex vitro survival in Shirvanshah grapevine through gradient based auxin stratification in culture medium”.

The presentation provided information on the results of research conducted on the in vitro propagation and rooting of the Shirvanshah grapevine cultivar, optimization of the culture medium, root system development, and plant adaptation to ex vitro conditions, as well as approaches aimed at improving rooting efficiency.
