She was awarded a fellowship funded by COMSTECH and completed a training programme at the Centre of Excellence in Molecular Biology (CEMB), University of the Punjab, Lahore, under the supervision of Professor Allah Bakhish. The programme focused on modern techniques in plant molecular biology, biotechnology, bioinformatics and genome editing. She gained theoretical and practical experience in CRISPR/Cas technology, gRNA design, in silico analysis, TA, LR and Golden Gate cloning, plasmid extraction and transformation techniques. She also participated in the international workshop “Genome Editing and Plant Biotechnology to Address Climate Challenges” supported by COMCEC and COMSTECH with researchers from several OIC member countries from 22 to 25 September 2026. Upon successful completion of the fellowship she received a certificate from Professor Dr. Iqbal Choudhary, Coordinator General of COMSTECH.
