A leading researcher of the Laboratory of Bioadaptation, docent, PhD in biology Samira Rustamova gave a presentation on the topic "Epigenetics - the second genetic code of our lives" on January 26, 2018. She noted that last century is called the "Genome" century, whereas, this  century is the Epigenome century. Interesting information was provided to the participants on researches carried out within the framework of "Human Epigenome" project, started after the completion of the “Human Genome” project, and other projects devoted to the identification of epigenetic regulation elements. The speech aroused great interest of the seminar participants. An extensive discussion was held on the topic, and the reporter answered questions.
