Rector of BSU Elchin Babayev met with Head of Bionanotechnology laboratory of IMBB and laboratory of Controlled Photosynthesis of the Institute of Physiology named after acad. K.A.Timiryazev of the Russian Academy of Sciences, senior researcher of the Institute of Fundamental Biological Problems of the Russian Academy of Sciences, professor of the Moscow State University named after M.V.Lomonosov and  МFTI Suleyman Allahverdiyev. During the meeting discussions on the development perspectives of the directions of photosynthesis, physiology, biophysics, biochemistry, molecular biology and nanobiotechnology in Baku State University were held and cooperation in these fields was discussed. Elchin Babayev said that the results of S.Allakhverdiyev’s research were regularly published in reputable journals and his scientific achievements were recognized internationally. A member of the editorial board of leading international journals on the physiology and biochemistry of plants, photosynthesis, and nanotechnology, S.Allahverdiyev was awarded Scopus Awards” and ”WoS” for his services in science development in Russia and abroad last year and this year as the most cited scientist. S.Allakhverdiyev thanked him for his kind words. S.Allakhverdiyev noted that he graduated from the Faculty of Physics of Baku State University in 1973, and he added that this factor played a major role in his success. The meeting ended with a discussion of issues of mutual interest.
