A new project is being launched in Azerbaijan to combat COVID-19 Apr 16, 2020 | 12:52 / Interesting information

At the initiative of the World Health Organization (WHO), with the support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, the State Agency for Compulsory Medical Insurance, MTUMA and the Ministry of Health, the REACT-C19 project is launched to strengthen basic skills in combating COVID-19 in hospitals in the regions of Azerbaijan.

Speaking at the presentation of the project, chairman of the Medical Territorial Units Management Association Ramin Bayramli said that 19 Azerbaijani doctors working in Turkey will take part in the project.

The aim of the project is to rapidly develop basic COVID-19-related skills in selected hospitals in the regions for the treatment of patients currently infected with COVID-19.

Each of the four teams of Azerbaijani doctors from Turkey includes specialists in infection prevention and control, triad, infection management and Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS).

The project will also launch an online platform for health workers, through which they will be able to receive training and presentations, video lessons from mentors and statistics.
