The study found that the quarantine regime in the country has a positive effect.

Measures taken by the state in the fight against coronavirus continue in the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan. During this period, a group of Azerbaijani scientists - Director General of the High Technologies Park of ANAS, academician Ali Abbasov, director of the Applied-Mathematical Research Institute of Baku State University (BSU) academician Fikret Aliyev, BSU Professor Rovshan Aliyev, Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Associate Professor Hilala Jafarova have conducted a study to determine the time dependence of the dynamics of infection with the COVID-19 virus in Azerbaijan.

The research used probability theory and mathematical statistics, as well as modern methods of mathematical modeling.

The results proved that the quarantine regime applied in the country has had a positive effect. The study found that without a quarantine regime, the number of coronavirus infections could continue to rise sharply (Figure 1).

According to the established mathematical model, as confirmed by real statistics, it was confirmed that the number of coronavirus infections under quarantine has decreased (Graph 2).

Note that the study compared the dynamics of virus infection in the countries bordering Azerbaijan.
