The head of the Laboratory of Enzymology of Photosynthetic Carbon Assimilation, PhD in biology, associate professor Shahniyar Bayramov was on a scientific trip in the Wageningen city of The Netherlands. Sh. Bayramov won the Invited Scientific Grants Competition of The Netherlands Organization for Scientific Research with the project entitled “The study of the effects of temperature, light intensity and spectrum on the biochemistry of CAM photosynthesis in the Phalaenopsis varieties”. The study of biochemical and adaptive mechanisms in CAM plants having high potential in view of food and energy security is of great importance for the assessment of the plant tolerance traits. The scientist conducted his research on biochemical bases of CAM photosynthesis at the Wageningen University and Research Center. The project manager was an associate professor of the Wageningen University Dr Ir. Wim van Ieperen. The research within the framework of the project continued from December 1, 2017 to April 1, 2018.
