On June 23 The defense of dissertations of the 2nd year master students of IMBB was held on the Zoom platform. Vice-president of ANAS,  director of IMBB academician Irada Huseynova, academician-secretary of ANAS, correspondent member of ANAS professor Aminagha Sadigov, Chief of the Department of Science and Education of the Presidium of ANAS, Ph.D. in economy Fail Kazimov, head of the Magistracy department, Ph.D. in agrarian sciences Fikret Feyziyev and relevant persons participated in the online event. Aminaga Sadigov praised the activity of the masters of ANAS and wished them success in their future work.

Chairman of the Specialized Scientific Council for the Defense of Master's Dissertations, Professor Saftar Suleymanov greeted the participants and informed them about the agenda of the event. Scientific secretary of the council, head of the Education department Samira Rustamova provided information about master students and their dissertation topics. In the defense, 3 masters in the specialty of"Molecular Biology" on the Azerbaijani section, 1 on the Russian section, 2 in the specialty of "Biochemistry", 1 in the specialty of "Biotechnology" and 1 in the specialty of "Plant Physiology" of the Institute of Botany presented their dissertations. There was a wide discussion on each dissertation topic.

In the end, the dissertation was evaluated according to the relevant criteria and voting was held. Based on the results of the assessment, it was decided to award a master's degree to masters.
