As a person, he always set an example for his students and played an exceptional role in the development of biological science in Azerbaijan. The scientist devoted more than 60 years of his life to the Azerbaijani science, trained about a hundred students. New wheat varieties were created as a result of his deep theoretical knowledge and ideas. The application of his results, based on the unity of theory and practice, has been of great importance for the development of the republic's economy and increase productivity.

The establishment of the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnology of ANAS was one of the important steps in conducting research that meets the requirements of world science.

The fields of Molecular biology, molecular genetics, mathematical biology, bioinformatics, gene and cell biotechnology, gene engineering which are modern directions of biology were developed as a result of Jalal Alirza Aliyev's foresight, initiative, national passion, innovative-scientific position, and under his leadership the personnel base of these sciences was formed. With his leadership for the first time mathematical methods and computer technology were used in solving many theoretical and practical issues of agriculture and biology in the republic. Those who know Academician Jalal Aliyev well know that he did not just dedicate his destiny to scientific work. J.Aliyev is also the founder and head of great scientific school that has gained an influential position in Azerbaijani science. He was always a great advisor to young scientists. Today, the voice of the students of the Scientific School of Honored Scientist Jalal Aliyev comes from well-known universities, research institutions and international centers in the United States, Canada, Sweden, Great Britain, Japan, South Korea, Australia, Russia and dozens of other leading countries.

Academician Jalal Aliyev was at the top of humanity not only as a scientist but also as a person and a friend.
