Deputy Director of the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnologies of ANAS, PhD in Biology, Associate Professor Alamdar Mammadov was a guest of the ATV Qarargah program.
Speaking about the coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19), A. Mammadov spoke about methods of protection against this virus and measures to prevent its chain spread. He said that from the first day of infection, the human body begins to fight the disease, talked about the progress of the infection process. According to the scientist, when the virus enters the body, a decrease in the supply of oxygen to the body can be observed, in other words, certain disturbances in the hormonal and immune systems can occur, and as a result of disturbances in the human cellular genome, a mutation can occur.
Then A. Mammadov spoke about the need to use masks and observe the rules of personal hygiene by family members of patients who are being treated at home, as well as keeping separately all the items that the patient uses. He noted that using such methods, chain propagation of COVID-19 can be prevented.
