Main activity directions:

Separation of enzymes involved in photosynthetic assimilation of carbohydrates in C3, C4- and CAM plants, study of physical-chemical properties, structural-functional organization, clarification of their physiological role in the effects of different abiotic stress factors

Main scientific achievements:

Studies of the dynamics of changes in the activity of enzymes involved in the primary assimilation of carbon, protein content and gene expression in some cereals belonging to the C3 photosynthetic pathway have shown that they play an important role in stabilizing the rate of photosynthetic assimilation of CO2 and adaptation of plants to unfavorable factors. environment.

For the first time, the species Sedum caucasicum, considered endemic to the Caucasian flora, turned out to be an obligate CAM plant.

The enzymes involved in malate metabolism have been comparatively studied in C3 and C4 plants.
