On June 30, the next meeting of the Scientific Council of the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnologies of ANAS was held.

Academician Irada Huseynova, vice-president of ANAS, general director of the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnologies, introduced the participants to the issues on the agenda, and said that June 30 is the 94th anniversary of the birth of academician Jalal Aliyev. It is noteworthy that today marks the 6th anniversary of the establishment of the institute, which is also a relic of a great scientist and teacher.

Academician Irada Huseynova, talking about the outstanding scientist's contributions to world science, his incomparable services in the formation and development of the most modern directions of biological science in Azerbaijan, in achieving scientific achievements, in establishing the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnologies, and she noted that all this was achieved thanks to the foresight of the great scientist, and she said that today his legacy has been duly continued by his students.

Then other issues on the agenda - scientific and scientific-organizational work performed at the institute in the first semester of 2022, the results of the defense of master's theses, the participation of the institute employees in the XVIII international congress on "Photosynthesis research - fundamental and applied science for energy and food security” organized by the International Society for Photosynthesis Research (ISPR) which will be held from July 31 to August 5, 2022, in Dunedin, New Zealand, the preparation of issue VI in 2022 of the journal "Works of the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnologies of ANAS" were discussed and relevant decisions were made.
