The Scientific Council of the Central Botanical Garden held a report meeting dedicated to the results of the scientific-research works conducted in 2022. The vice-president of ANAS academician Irada Huseynova opened the event and reminded that 2022 was a transition period for the Central Botanical Garden (CBG) and took the floor to the general director of the Botanical Garden, Doctor of Biological Sciences, Associate Professor Hasan Babayev to present an annual report about the results of the scientific and scientific-organizational activities of the CBG during the year.

Hasan Babayev presented the results of the scientific-research works carried out in 2022 in the institution headed by him. In his report, he gave detailed information about the works performed in the enterprise in connection with the implementation of the decrees and orders of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the decisions and orders of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan, as well as State Programs in the current year. He said that in the current year, scientific research at CBG was carried out in 11 works and 20 stages covering 5 topics for solving 1 problem. It was emphasized that in the reporting year, a total of 29 scientific works, including 16 articles and 13 theses, were published by the staff of the Garden in the local and foreign press, and 2 articles were published in impact factor journals. H.Babayev emphasized that the employees of the garden participated in numerous events both in the republic and abroad.

Hasan Babayev noted that in order to enrich the living plant collections of the Central Botanical Garden, seed exchange works were carried out with botanical gardens of several countries of the world. A collection of different types of medicinal, essential, nectar and other useful plants has been created in the territory of the Shamakhi stronghold, which operates near the garden.

In the end, Academician Irada Huseynova concluded the discussions and gave her tasks and recommendations regarding the scientific activity of the Garden, and congratulated the staff on the upcoming Solidarity Day of Azerbaijanis and the New Year holiday. In the end, the activity of the enterprise was evaluated positively and a decision was made to accept the annual report.
