The training was organized by the European Commission (EC) and ANAS in order to ensure the successful participation of Azerbaijani researchers, and specialists from the public and private sectors in the "Horizon Europe" Program. The trainings were supported by the European Union and conducted by Austrian expert Gorazd Weiss and Italian expert Bruno Mourenza. Also, other experts from the EC joined in the online format and participated in the exchange of ideas through the "Zoom" platform.

The purpose of the training was to get more complete information about the "Horizon Europe" Program. During the trainings, information about the work program of the "Horizon Europe" Program for 2023-2024, determining the challenges, the procedure for writing project proposals, and evaluation criteria were brought to the attention of the participants, and theoretical and practical lessons were held, and successful experience was presented.

In the end, certificates were awarded to 30 people selected from more than 250 applicants from the public and private sectors. Among the employees of the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnologies, the leading researcher of the lab. of Photochemistry of chloroplasts, PhD Ulkar Ibrahimova and researcher of the lab. of Plant biotechnology  Gunay Ismayilova were presented certificates.
