On June 25, on the occasion of the 95th anniversary of the birth of Jalal Aliyev, a world-famous scientist, outstanding social and political figure, Honored scientist, academician, employees of the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnologies, the Research Institute of Crop Husbandry, the scientist's students visited his grave in the Honorary Alley. Later, a commemorative event was held at the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnologies. Academician Irada Huseynova, vice-president of ANAS, director general of the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnologies, talked about the unparalleled services of the academician in the science of Azerbaijan. She noted that academician Jalal Aliyev erected an eternal monument to himself during his lifetime for his wonderful deeds, wide-ranging scientific and scientific-organizational activities, exceptional and selfless services to Azerbaijan and world science, and his sacrifices for the protection of our statehood. Nearly 300 scientists trained over 50 years are currently working in Azerbaijan, the USA, Great Britain, Japan, Russia, Turkey, South Korea, Australia, Sweden, Canada, and Germany, as researchers and teachers in renowned scientific and educational centers and prestigious universities. They represent academician Jalal Aliyev's scientific school and Azerbaijani science in general. 15 doctors of sciences and 81 candidates of sciences were trained under his supervision. The scientific school created by Academician Jalal Aliyev lives, develops year by year, and is constantly expanding. In the future, this school will train new generations of scientists, raise Azerbaijani science to new heights, and make real contributions to the further prosperity of our country and state.

Then academician Jalal Aliyev's students - correspondent members of ANAS, prof. Ibrahim Azizov and prof. Novruz Guliyev, correspondent member of RAS, Honored Scientist of the Russian Federation Suleyman Allahverdiyev, Honored Scientist of Azerbaijan, prof. Garib Murshudov, Doctor of Philosophy in Agrarian Sciences Javanshir Talai, and others shared their memories about their teacher and spoke of his serious and demanding nature as a teacher, as well as his caring and kindness, and his ability to create a sincere student-teacher relationship. It was noted that the achievements of the students of Jalal Aliyev’s school are the result of the attention, care, and dedicated work of their teachers. The dear memory of Academician Jalal Aliyev, who made great contributions to science, will always live in our hearts.
