The director general of the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnologies of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Academician Irada Huseynova, and the staff of the institute paid tribute to the memory of national leader Heydar Aliyev on the Alley of Honor and laid flowers at his grave. Then, an event dedicated to the memory day of a wise leader and a genius politician of the Azerbaijan People, Heydar Aliyev, was held at IMBB. Before the opening of the event, the bright memory of the wise leader and brilliant politician of Azerbaijan was honored with a minute of silence. The commemorative event was opened by the director general of the institute, Academician Irada Huseynova. She noted that Heydar Aliyev was the architect and founder of the independent state of Azerbaijan, a world-renowned politician, an extraordinary personality, with phenomenal political abilities, and rich experience of statesmanship. He became a living legend, represented his masterpiece, independent Azerbaijan, with honor and dignity all over the world. With his simplicity, sincerity, patriotism and high human qualities, Heydar Aliyev left an unforgettable mark in the heart of every Azerbaijani. The foundation of modern Azerbaijan was laid thanks to the unshakable iron will and determination of Heydar Aliyev, his tireless and selfless work for the progress of our people. Azerbaijan's path to independent state building began in 1969 - exactly after he came to power for the first time. As a result of Heydar Aliyev's return to power in 1993, stability was established in Azerbaijan. Today, the successor of the Great Leader, President Ilham Aliyev, successfully continues the thoughtful and purposeful policy of the National Leader. The victory of the Azerbaijani people in the 44-day war and the liberation of the occupied lands once again demonstrated to the whole world the close unity of the political leadership of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the people of Azerbaijan.

At the event, correspondent member of ANAS Ibrahim Azizov, doctors of biological sciences Saftar Suleymanov, Shahniyar Bayramov, doctors of philosophy in biology Mahira Mammadova, Samra Mirzayeva, doctoral student Aygun Sadigova and others spoke and expressed their views on the historical services of the National Leader of our people Heydar Aliyev.
