The event, organized jointly by the Presidium of ANAS and the Women's Council of ANAS, was attended by female employees of the Academy and institutions under the Ministry of Science and Education.

First, a video dedicated to prominent female scientists was presented.

The conference was opened with a welcoming speech by Vice-President of ANAS, Academician Irada Huseynova, who spoke about the establishment of the International Day of Women and Girls in Science and congratulated the participants on this significant occasion. Academician stated that the United Nations General Assembly, through a resolution adopted in 2015, declared February 11 as the "International Day of Women and Girls in Science" in honor of the birthday of the renowned scientist Marie Curie, who won the Nobel Prize twice in the fields of physics and chemistry.
