Turkey developed a local mechanical respirator

Turkish National Defense Minister Hulusi Akar said that the Organization of Mechanical Engineering and Chemical Industry (MKEK) has produced a mechanical respirator called "Sahara" using local and national resources.
He said that the design and production of the new device belongs to Turkish specialists, adding that the prototype will be improved in the coming days. He also said that the Sahara is cheaper than similar devices in the world, and the goal is to produce 500 mechanical respirators a week.
