Islamic Organization for Education, Science and Culture (ISESCO) and the Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation have established an award for individuals and organizations that have voluntarily contributed to the development of educational institutions in Muslim countries during the COVID-19 pandemic.

According to ha.ae, this was stated by the Director General of ISESCO Salim al-Malik. For this purpose, 300,000 US dollars will be allocated, which will be awarded to three entities that have contributed to the development of innovative and inclusive education during the pandemic.

The Secretary General of the Hamdan Foundation, Jamal Al Makhairi, noted that the competition will end on December 17. Each of the three winners will be awarded a prize of $ 100 thousand. Individuals, charities, volunteer centers, and donors can participate in the competition.

Educational development projects and progress reports will be posted on ha.ae/en/icesco.

The reports should reflect such issues as the construction of buildings for educational institutions over the past three years, their equipping with the necessary equipment, measures aimed at ensuring the duration of education in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, etc.
